Vegetable Rennet (Paneer Dodi) – Vegan Cheese Coagulant

Paneer dodi, also called Withania coagulans, is a small bushy shrub and belongs to the family Solanaceae. It is commonly known as ‘paneer dodi’ or ‘Indian cheese maker’ because the fruits of this plant have milk coagulating properties, and therefore, it is called paneer dodi. Traditionally, different parts of the plant, mainly the fruit, were used as a magic healer for health conditions.

How to use

Soak about 10-15 pods of Paneer Dodi in a glass of water overnight. Squeeze them to bring out their extract in the water. Filter it through a sieve and drink it next morning empty stomach.
